On Valentine's Day 2007 my husband of 25 years died very unexpectedly on his 50th birthday. As you can imagine I was and still am devastated. My friend's 2 and a half year old baby girl was killed in November when she was ran over by a vehicle in her baby sitters driveway.
Everyone was of course devastated and we are all still grieving.
"Heaven" was a wonderful blessing to the little girls mom. I haven't read it myself yet but I have always loved the perspective of Eternity in Randy's books "Edge of Eternity" and "Safely Home"...
My pastor loaned me his copy of Heaven, and it's a life changing book. I cannot believe I pictured heaven as white and gold and just a throne and singing! You've given me a new lease on life AND death! :)

Seeing how God has used trials in your life to point you to heaven is a challenge to me. I long for my trials to do the same.

We are studying your book in our women's Bible study. It has been so inspirational since the loss of my newborn grandson one year ago, that the Lord has inspired me--through your book about Heaven-- to write a story about what Bradey might be doing in Heaven. I want to give this story to my daughter, Bradey's mom, at the birth of her next child, due this October. I know it will bring hope and joy, even through the loss of her little boy. I have read "Safely Home" twice, "Deadline," and am 3/4 of the way through "Dominion," with "Deception waiting in the wings to be read. What a great book! I'm a seminary student and drop hundreds of dollars on books every semester. This is one of my favorites and worth buying for everyone who'll read it. I like the mother's day idea!!
My husband went to be with the Lord on Dec 18th 2008. We had just spoken 20 minutes prior when I recieved a phone call from my son, Mom Dads having a heart attack. That was Dec 7th, he never regained consciousness. A pastor at my church lent me his Heaven book, if I were to win one I would give it to him since now his is filled with tears.

We have especially appreciated Heaven and purchased I think about 10 or so and given them away. Too how we appreciate the booklets that we have available at our campground chapel ministry. We also use the heaven tracks. I am on my second reading doing the study this time with it very slowly. I also am enjoying the 50 day devtional book. We gave the kids book to a grandson for Easter. How special it would be to have a signed copy!
By the way, after writing Safely Home I know you would appreciate the book Heavenly Man a true persecuted pastor's story.

I've just read parts of Heaven but I also have "Tell Me About Heaven". I'm very visual and I needed the pictures. I was going through a "crises of faith" and the hope this book is bringing to me is changing my whole perspective of how I love the Lord and to detach myself from the things of this world. Shortly after we had to move my 87 year old father into nursing care, I heard about "Heaven" and checked a copy out of our local library. Each time I visited him, I read a little more aloud to him. Thank you for the totally new and exciting thoughts of heaven you planted in my heart. It makes the transition from what we know and are familiar with here on earth truly something to look forward to.

I have read "Heaven" and speak of it almost daily to my friends and co-workers. It has been truly a life-changing book. I am so thankful that I have a better perspective on my future home and I can now imagine my precious husband finding special places to show me when I get there! I am the widow of just over a year (my husband died on his 50th b'day) who has had some breathtaking experiences in even the discovery of the book. I have read several of your books - several times. I love the intrigue and the insight into Heaven. I am very much strengthened in my love for Christ and His love for me. I don't know why but I picked up one of my old copies of Journal by
[AFA] 10/2007 and read there article Heaven. I loged on to your web site and signed up for your newsletter and placed a order for your book Heaven.When ever I do a funeral I find it very comforting if you can give the families and friends an idea about what Heaven is like. Look forward to receiving your book and see if there is more information that I have over looked
that could be a comfort to others.
